Starting the 1927 roadster after 12 years

Hello all today my son and I tried to start the dodge roadster,after cleaning all terminals and connectors checking oil water renewing battery. We pulled out the ignition button pulled out the choke pressed in the starter button and it started for a short time as we only put a small amount of fuel in the carb.

The spark plugs tops on the car are corroded so need replacing they are champion w-20 I hope I can find some in the uk. The car is being shown at the NEC on the 5th and 6th of March with the model T and Holsman in the barn finds area.
