Guest
Have this pair of B5 Buffalo 20" wheels, hubs, caps, and axle for sale. Located in Northern California. Can anyone ID the axle? It has mechanical brakes.
Guest stude8
Interesting setup, is that gimick on the axle beam the brake activator? Can't see if the shoes were 2 shoe per wheel or 3 (Bendix)? What size are drums inside diam and width?
Doesn't look like anything I've seen before but I have an old wheel catalog that lists drum sizes back to late teens. The bolt pattern and count would mean something, you can see where they riveted the Buffalo hubs on the drums it was a 6 bolt system.
Stude8
Guest
Brake drums are 13 3/4 x 2 1/2, they bolt on with 6 bolt on a 6 3/4" circle. Shoes are gone as this was a trailer but it looks like there were 2, yes that is the actuator along the I beam. I went about ID similarly, the Timken outer wheel bearing is a #2687, which led me to suspect this is Marmon. Any help much appreciated.
