Guest vlg Posted February 21, 2014 Share Posted February 21, 2014 Hi,i,m having a noise in my transmission.I can best describe it as a mix between a buzz and grind.It occurs almost only at 30-32 mph.The trans does not slip or clunk.The only change i noticed is at highway speeds i can feel the torque converter clutch come on a little but still not rough Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest dsm1319 Posted February 22, 2014 Share Posted February 22, 2014 I just bought a 92 with 145000K and a trans cooler installed and it makes a whining pretty much all the time-guess you could have a fluid change and install a cooler then you should be good for the reputation of the 3800 V6-about 500,000K or so......I would like to know if anyone out there knows anything about the suspension on these 89-93 Riviera's like what maladies are common in which components,etc...?
