Guest jpatino
I just took apart the steering wheel section on my car and sadly the pot metal inside was real brittle. I just touched it and a piece fell off. I recall someone asking how to take the steering wheel apart in a previous post. If anyone needs a "how to", I took enough photos to create one(so that I knew how to put it back together haha).

Guest jpatino
Thanks Stude8. That helps and answers some questions. I ordered the base plate from Steve Munts.
Guest stude8
Glad to know the information helped you out and even more happy to hear Steve can still supply the base plate when needed. His parts got my 1928 Commander repaired a few years ago.Stude8
