Replacing 1930 Erskine Model 53 exhaust manifold gaskets

I have a leaky exhaust manifold gasket and am ready to tackle it. I have a complete gasket kit, but only plan on using what I absolutely have to, I'll make new exhaust manifold gaskets if i can. This is the 205 ci six. Is there anything thing to watch out for in this process?
