Sweet jack, that beats bench pressing it in on your back.(done that many times) Its easiest on a lift but it looks like if you can sky the car high enuff it would almost be the same. Wish I had a HF store here that would definatly be worth buying. On the lift note is there a community college where you can maybe take a trans rebuilding course? That could solve your problems of tools/area to yank it out and rebuild it.

I remember back in college I removed a 700r4 from a 84 Camaro and rebuilt it with every go fast goodie and upgraded parts, I think I paid 90 bucks for the class and 300 for parts. Which wasn't bad since I had instruction and a good work area.

If you already own a 2 ton floor jack you can just get one of these

ACDelco 34188 - Floor Jack Transmission Adaptor | O'Reilly Auto Parts

It would work just the same minus you would have to release the hydraulics from the aft position instead of the side on the one you are looking at.
