Guest ronglazier
Trying to locate the Vehicle Identification Number on a 1933 Buick, Model 57. Any idea where that is located?
Guest outlaw car man
It's a plate on the right ( passenger ) side of the frame, just inside the wheel well. Should be rivited on. Sandy
Guest ronglazier
Thanks, Sandy. That's what I thought and the VIN number I have on file with my insurance company is indeed the number on the right front frame (similar numbers are elsewhere on the vehicle as well). What's on the title is a difference number and one that I can not find anywhere on the vehicle. I don't recall how the VIN number got on the title but perhaps it was the company who did the restoration who put it there.
Guest outlaw car man
Check the motor #, it's a number on the small flat part on thr right side of the motor above about where the dist is. It's a stamped #.A lot of times this number is used on the title instead of the VIN #. Had that happen on a couple cars I've owned in the past.
