Guest JosR Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Wanted to say thanks to all the good folks and their great advice which helped me totally rebuild by tired 4 cylinder. I took the kids for a ride yesterday and boy what a difference with good compression! The only area I will have to address is a nasty oil leak out the rear of the engine. I thought I did a good job by packing some old rope seal material into the block grooveunder the crank and using the felt seal provided by Olsens gaskets, but it drips about every second.
