65 Riviera trans dip stick

hello to all

I recently purchase an auto trans dip stick from a Riv vendor. The (part) numbers on the stick do no match the orginal dip stick and the stick appears to be about 1/2" shorter than my original.

THe original stick that I pulled out of the Riviera GS has the following number 1372919

The replacement stick's number is 1364788

I'm not really worried about the numbers but as you can imagine I'm concerned about the stick being ~1/2" shorter and accurate fluid level indication.

Can one of you guys pull the stick on yoiur 65 GS to tell me what number is on your stick???

I pulled the dipstick:o, from my 65 NON GS w/425 eng. and it reads 1372919 (m)

thanks for the info. I talked with the guy I got the stick from and he "sheepishly" told me the stick didnt come from a 425 and couldnt tell me where it came from...? But its obviously 1/2 to 5/8" shorter...thats a big disparity on a dipstick.

Is anyone in the forum parting out a 65 engine or car?

Just checked the dip stick on both of my cars. 1 65 GS, one non GS. Both have the same number dip stick you list above.
