Guest
Can anyone recommend a white wall tire that has a little wider white stripe than normal?
I am looking for a nice riding radial tire that has a 1.3 to 1.5 inch white wall, in a P205/70R14 or a P215/70R14. I know Coker has a wider white wall, but they only have the P195/75R14 size. I would like something a little bigger. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
John
[ 03-23-2002: Message edited by: JRS ]
Guest Skyking
John, check with Firestone or Uniroyal. They had a tire with a wider white wall.....
Guest
FIRESTONE MAKES A 1.5 INCH WHITEWALL RADIAL, IN THE 741 SERIES OF TIRES. I HAVE 2 SETS OF THESE ON CARS AND THEY WORK VERY WELL, AND THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE.
Guest
Hi there, check with some of your local tire shops. Most whitewall tires have a larger white rubber below the black and they buff out the size you need. They many times know which tires have the most depending on the size that you want. Cost is minimal but the tires must be off of the wheel when done. Hope this helps. Paul
