Guest Posted January 24, 2002 Share Posted January 24, 2002 Dang..cant get my 48 super going yet...took this car apart soon after buying it, and the torque ball-retainers-u-joint..something wrong in the combination..when put together it had about quarter inch slop with no shims or gaskets! Anyway, would like to find a complete torque ball and u joint off a trans that all the parts work together..or even buy whole tranny if necessay! The only way I could see this much play is if the outer retainer had been a bonded one,and all the neoprene material is gone.A new outer retainer is readily available,im fact Bob's has them.
