Guest amesolds
I am a newbie on this site and bought this many years ago when my dad was restoring his '32 Buick. The back has what looks to be a cardboard cover riveted on to protect the inner workings and has AC Made in USA 867508 stamped into it. This thing is pretty nice and works. Does anyone know if these were given away by dealers, or came from the factory on some cars, and what year(s) they were used? Any help would be appreciated. unimogjohn
They were just dealer advertising promos. You could order them for just about any car, and I am sure that you could get one at most auto parts stores of that era. I see them on Ebay from time to time. unimogjohn
The mechanical ones were popular in the 30s and 40s. After than everyone seemed to go with the door stickers.
