Guest Steve R.
1968 Buick LeSabre Custom: Model 45439 - four door, hard top, V8, 4 BBL, PS, PB, A/C (non-functional, with compressor and other parts removed for access to other systems), 160K miles on single odometer turnover, blue with black vinyl top, deluxe hub caps. This classic Buick runs and drives very smoothly—it offers excellent restoration potential for an amateur mechanic or first-time restorer.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Highly desirable, “pillarless” hard top design (no column between front and back windows--called a hard top convertible in 50s and 60s.) Well-maintained, with multiple new parts all backed by receipts for both parts and work. Front-end rebuild (bushings, tie rods, linkage) with less than 10K miles, new tires, battery, alternator, fuel pump, head lamps, etc. all with less than 15K miles. Mechanical condition is very good, cosmetically car needs work, with rust (not extensive) in usual places. Car will need paint, minor body work, rust repair (minor for a car of this age) and new trunk floor, which is available on e-Bay for around $300 as a stamped, one-piece part. Car comes with complete shop manual for all 1968 Buicks—a must for the do-it-yourself mechanic to maintain the car and make repairs. Car also comes with an extensive folio of receipts and records of all repairs and maintenance. Asking $1,500.00 firm.
