For Sale: 1987 Turbo Buick Regal Grand National
Mileage: 20,056 original miles
Features: Hardtop, Posi, PS, PB, PW, PDL, Tilt, Cruise, AC, Analog Dash, original window sticker (laminated), manual and entire car history.
Upgrades since factory release: K&N filter in original location, Intercooler hoses and clamps.
History: The car was purchased by the original owner in 1987 in Virginia and held until 1992 when sold to the 2nd owner (also a Virginian) with 6,000 miles. The car had never seen rain or snow and was kept in a heated garage. The 2nd owner believes, as do I, that the paint is a factory re-paint done exceptionally well, although this has never been confirmed. The exhaust is also painted black with the rock guard coating indicating in my research that it may be a factory re-paint (painted exhaust is thought to indicate a factory repaint or originally sold on the east coast). I purchased the car from the 2nd owner in October of 1998 with 19,056 miles. The 2nd owner was meticulous, started the car regularly and the car never saw rain or snow. As the third owner the car has spent most of its time in storage. The car is started regularly for a minimum of 15 minutes and driven at least twice a month.
Flaws: Two dime-size paint flaws. One is located on the trunk lid and one on the rear passenger side quarter panel. It looks like the paint chipped and was filled improperly with touchup making it look like someone stuck their finger in wet paint. A simple fix for less than $50. The cat has been replaced and the shop cut the flange that would normally allow the cat to bolt to the exhaust. The new cat is welded to the factory exhaust. The front dash has a few small but typical cracks at the speaker vents. One 3.8 emblem on the hood had cracked and was glued back in place. The front headlight bezels have slightly faded (due to waxing – using a buffer) in a few spots.
Condition: This car is one of the nicest Grand Nationals in California. The interior is impeccably clean, tight, and fully functional. The rear sat has never been sat in. The paint is a 9.8 out of 10. The body is straight with very few paint chips up front (if any they are touched up) and no dings. The car has the original tires and an extra set of original tires. There are no disappointments with this car. It is a beautiful example of an unmolested factory show room car and even smells new.
Reason for sale: Never drive it.
Price: $18,500 OBO
Some pictures at http://members.home.net/autofinance/Turbo.html
Click on Enter, then Tyson Green
Will have more pictures soon.
tgreen@euniversity.com

------------------
87 GN 20K Original Miles, Bone Stock, Lic BBAD2BN FOR SALE $18K
87 Turbo T TE50, PTE FM, 3" MAF, 62MM TB, 3" THDP, 4 Wheel 11" BAER Racing Brakes, Eibach Springs, Koni Adjustable Shocks, Hotchkins Control Arms, Global West Tubular A Arms, 16" GNX style rims w/ Yokohama A32R Z rated tires
