Guest Paterson Chris
My car muffler -- which appears original -- has an inlet that's 2 1/4" in diameter and the outlet (tail pipe) is 1 3/8" in diameter. This, mounted in a '22 Paterson with a Continental 6 under the hood. I've never seen a muffler outlet smaller than the inlet before. I hate to second guess the engineers of back then but, does that sound right? Chris
Steve Braverman
Yes, most cars of that era had little pea-shooter tail pipes. The muffler would most likely be a straight-through type. Waldrons will have the muffler.Waldron's antique exhaust, car exhaust, truck exhaust, exhaust pipes, mufflers
