Guest
Is this an early or late grille?
The early grille had more teeth and less space between the teeth, I think the total number was 44 but am away from home and cannot check specs and car. There is one or two center bars across the back of the grille to support the teeth of an early grille.
The late grille openned up the space between the teeth to let more air circulate. Do not remember what the total count of the teeth is, which is less than the number on an early grille. There are two or three center bar supports on the back of the late grille supporting the teeth.
Any one interested in a pair of 39 grilles should make sure that the left and right are either both early grilles or both late grilles as it will be very obvious if you get a mismatched set. Guest
This must be an early grille - 45 bars on each, not including the outside, and one rib going down the center of each one. And yes, they are definitely a matched set.
