Guest Grant Magrath
Hi guys!Thought you might be interested in my Canadian 1939 Chevy radio, in particular the head. I bought it on eBay a few years ago. It fits my Canadian made, New Zealand assembled car, and will go in the dash of an Austalian Holden bodied car as well, judging by the one on exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. The head is exactly the same as a factory 1939 Buick Sonomatic radio, but without the Sonomatic lettering and a chrome cover where the push buttons would be. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, they're the old eBay listing ones. The radio has been restored and is in my car now. Funny thing is, any 39 Chevy's in NZ that had radios (not many)had slightly modified American factory radios in them!CheersGrant
