Let me clarify this, there is no nut on the top of the canister, the oil line goes directly into the top of the canister- That's what's got me baffled.

Thanks

Here's probably a simple one. The 32 DL6 has a oil filter steel canister mounted to the engine. Pretty much the same setup as my other one, but this one is a solid steel canister while the other one has the screw-in, screw out external filter. ( NAPA).

Does this have a replaceable filter that goes inside, if so, I assume the top unscrews, or it this also a early disposable one?

Looks like it was blue when new. Can just read TYPE: something on the side.

Another new one to me-

Ebayable ?

Thanks-

Sandy Jones

Problem solved, learned something too. Car has a very old , rusty SEALED canister oil filter. Supplier is out at this time, will get one and replace.

Other DL6 has a converted oil filter system for use of the screw in filter type.
