Carl,
1. Steering wheels are difficult to come by. Seems the orig equipment wheels self-destruct when exposed to light. I've found a recaster that will make it good as new for
$500 (which is why mine isn't done)
2. YearOne will have the package shelf http://www.yearone.com/
3. Spinner caps show up on eBay pretty often if you don't get a response here. Typical price for a good one is around $40 and sets are usually $80 - 300 depending on condition. Have you considered the Rallye wheels? About the same price for used ones.
Cheers,
John

------------------
John Chapman
BCA 35894
jmchapman@aol.com

Make sure you get the Buick version of that package tray, it has a woven material over the top of the cardboard, not just bare cardboard like the cheaper model A bodies. And I agree with John on the "Road Wheels" I had the Wheel covers on my wifes Skylark, they are horable! They fall off, they dent easy (like you can't even install them without denting them), and they crack between the holes. frown.gif
------------------
buickfam@aol.com
Life long Buick Fan.
1965 Skylark H/T
1965 Gran Sport Convertible
1948 Chevy Pickup with 401 Buick.

One other problem with the '65 Skylark
spinner wheel corvers is that on gravel roads they pick up small pebbles thru the round holes and rattle around inside the wheel. The contour makes them difficult to install on the wheel without denting them and they do crack between the holes. They are very attractive setting still.

Thank you for the information. I didn't know about YearOne but I ordered their catalog immediately!
I was wondering if anyone has a link to a picture of the rallye wheels... those do sound like an interesting option instead of the spinner caps. I'd like to see what they look like!
Thanks again,
Carl

Carl,
Good photos of the rallye wheels and instructions on restoration at:
http://www.buickperformance.com/rfinish.htm
There are several vendors of reproduction wheels also... but they go for $100-125 each. The benefits are that you can get almost any diameter/width combo you could possibly put under a '65 and it costs $80-100 to rechrome the old wheels anyway if they need it....
Cheers,
JMC

Hey guys, thanks for the info and the link to the pictures. The rally wheels are nice, but not quite my thing. I prefer the "classic" look a bit more than the "performance" look.
Glad for the info that the spinners have some flaws. Maybe I will just stick with my original wheel covers for a while. They have been growing on me actually (just got the car recently) and they look pretty nice, plus the Buick emblem in the middle on all of them is in good shape.
Thanks,
Carl
