Guest Posted July 31, 2000 Share Posted July 31, 2000 How do I get the steering shaft out of my '66 Sportwagon? The Buick manual is a little vague. (It seems that these shafts were a problem to reassemble, because of the retention spring behind the steering wheel. The threads on mine are stripped almost to the spline; many cars in the scrap-yards have had these shafts removed). Question 2: Will a steering shaft from '67 Skylark, fit my '66 Sportwagon? Thanks!
