pulling 1934 model 40 engine

I'm about to pull the engine on my '34 model 40 Buick and want to know the best way to proceed. Do I take it out with the tranny or can I unbolt it by the bell housing? What engine mounts do I need to take off?

I've got the radiator out, but not the radiator shield and grill piece and hope to do it with that body part in place. Is this a possibility?

More questions as engine restoration proceeds.

Thanks

OK, I got the engine out, it wasn't pretty , but it's out. ended up having to take the engine out vertically, pully up. Now the question is, how to get the clutch and bell housing apart.

I can't figure out how to get the clutch pressure plate and clutch plate out with the actuating lever and throwout bearing in there. They're in the way. How do I get that stuff out first?
