Guest simonmeridew
I'm about to pull the engine on my '34 model 40 Buick and want to know the best way to proceed. Do I take it out with the tranny or can I unbolt it by the bell housing? What engine mounts do I need to take off? I've got the radiator out, but not the radiator shield and grill piece and hope to do it with that body part in place. Is this a possibility?More questions as engine restoration proceeds.Thankssimonmeridew
Guest simonmeridew
OK, I got the engine out, it wasn't pretty , but it's out. ended up having to take the engine out vertically, pully up. Now the question is, how to get the clutch and bell housing apart.I can't figure out how to get the clutch pressure plate and clutch plate out with the actuating lever and throwout bearing in there. They're in the way. How do I get that stuff out first?simonmeridew
