  1. Sorry Speedster, didn't ignor you, really. I've posted three photos on the gallery. Let me know if you can't find them.
  2. Thanks for your reply Restorer32. This is what I've mostly received from others in the Packard realm. Maybe it's not Packard at all. It is definitely vintage. And it's definitely from an old vehicle. So I'm assuming the process of elimination at this point. Someone out there surely has a vehicle that needs this accessory. I would appreciate your comments on the three photos I've posted. Thanks in advance.
  3. Someone had emailed me as a result of the ad I put in the Packard Internation Magazine and they said this was not a Packard insignia. If it is not, then I will stop my quest and sell it here at an antique store in Frederick, Maryland.
  4. The exterior is leather bound. I don't know much about how it was attached to the vehicle. On the bottom are two pieces of wood that apparently were bolted to it possibly. Maybe an added feature later on. Not sure.
  5. This photo shows the interior. There are no shelves or drawers like some I've seen.
  6. Hi there group. Would any one here know if I have a genuine Packard trunk? I thought that was what it was when my elderly friend gave it to me years ago. She said it came off her mother's Packard car. She stored sewing supplies in it. It's leather bound and in pretty good condition, I feel. However, I've put it up for sale in a national Packard newspaper and those who have answered the ad have said it is too big to fit a Packard car (18" high, 21" deep, 40" long). I'm puzzled now. Can anyone help me? I wanted the money to be a donation to the Packard Museum in California.
