Thanks Vic, I have mounts for the smaller headlights, so unless I find the correct mounts for the large buckets, I will use the small lights…

I know this has been talked about but here is what i have. I have two sets of headlights one set being around the 7 1/2" diameter and the other set being around 8 1/4" diameter. the pix show the brown headlights with a single smaller depression in the bucket (around 7 1/2" diameter) and the blue bucket shows a larger depression that the mount goes into the bucket (around 8 1/4"). Which one is correct for the 1937 Dodge MC 1/2 Ton truck. If the brown one is correct i have the mounting bases, but i don't have the correct mounting bases for the blue ones. which leads me to ask if the blue buckets are correct does anyone have the correct mounts for them?

Vic, I have a dilemma, My MC did not come with headlights, so i picked up a pair that were stated as '37 MC's and they measure about 7 1/2-7 9/16" diameter across the from of the lens. I was informed that the smaller lights were for a '36, so i hunted for the bigger lights measuring about 8ish inches, but those need different mounting bases. I am confused as to what size the MC truck would have had in 1937. do you or anyone have any idea?

Vic,
I had to comment on your truck, as everyone stated... that is a beautiful truck. you done it right!
I have a '37 also but am not starting the project yet, still hunting for parts..

The vin number on your truck should be on the frame in the front of the truck. I think it is like an 8000000 or 9000000 number. let me know if you find it.
