    Steve, I appreciate your mentioning of the AACA online catalogue, but for a skint researcher like myself, stuck literally 10 000 miles or more away from any mainland USA, it's a non-starter without any actual content available online. I'm sure others can & will make use of what must be a fantastic resource.

  2. Well I think it's unadventurous, dated already, far too retro and lacks all imagination. Repeat that statement for the Ford GT, Mustang, and the Challenger/Charger/300C as well.

    The originals were popular and iconic because they were different and new, not because they looked like Model Ts with sixties touches!

  4. Hi all

    Just found this site, looks great. I am researching car specifications for my own site, and was hoping some knowledgable people on here could help me out please. The Keller Super Chief used a 162 CID Continental engine, and the Martin used a 162 CID Continental engine. Does anyone know if they are the same engine at all? The one reference I have for the Martin calls the Continental engine an "H8", but looking at contemporary (circa 1928) specification tables, the Continental codes are usually a numeral followed by a letter, not the other way around. Any thoughts on this please?

    I'm pretty sure that the Davis Divan and the Playboy (both from 1948) use a slightly smaller Continental engine, at 133 CID. Can anyone confirm this please?
