  1. Do you think it should be all repainted since the fender and door is the only thing to be replaced? Will I see the difference? I am particular and now you really have me nervous! Let me know as it is not started yet on the painting part. I will be more careful on pushing remote this time=thanks. Do you know how to program remote?

  2. Just thought I would let everyone know I decided to start repairs to my Reatta. Others think I am crazy for spending the money to fix after buying back from insurance company including my family but keep your fingers crossed to the body work and then on to pass inspection after receiving salvage title. This is all a learning experience. I have no other car but making sacrificies till it is all done. Does anyone know where I can find instructions on matching codes for a remote keyless entry of door as I purchased one on ebay and would like to do myself. Remember I am a female and the old one I have the buttons deteriated and I think it will preserve the life of the locks. Thank you all for the help I am receiving to restore my Reatta. Sandy in Ohio

  3. I recently totaled my 1991 Reatta. Parts were located and had looked over by two gentlemen. Damages were to front fender, door and bottom of rear panel. Alignment person said strut in front broke and rear control pin was bent. He said it would be fixed or replaced. All on drivers side. Do you think I should have fixed and painted? I received a settlement of 5,500. I know it must pass inspection to drive but will I be safe driving? Is there anything I should make sure is done when having them do the repairs? I love my car but would I be better using the money towards a new car and sell parts or the remainder of the car? Sorry, but I need to let them know in two days. It has 72,000 miles on it and immaculate. Always had hot oil treated and frequent oil changes. Thank you everyone for all your help. Sandy in Ohio

  4. I purchased back my 1991 White Reatta with blue leather interior. This was involved in a side collision. Need drivers front, side and rear bottom panel. Also need trim side pieces. Hopefully it will not be too costly but I would like to try and have it repaired.

I am a female and will have to have hired done. Any suggestions would be helpful as I took immaculate care and had low miles on this vehicle.

Sick about all this but hope someone can help me on it.

Sandy P.S. I live in Ohio

  5. I had a 1991 White Reatta with blue leather interior that was in immaculate condition and involved in side collision. Because of parts and age they totaled it. I am furious as they only offered 5,500 for settlement. I can buy back for resale of parts plus towing fee. Do you think it would be advisable and how would you suggest selling? Even had special rims and low mileage with twice frequency in oil changes. Everthing but outside on drivers side in excellent conditon. Extra cd with remote had installed. Please let me know what you think ASAP as they are calling me in the afternoon 3-9-05. Thank you from a previous owner and proud of it. Have no idea what to purchase now and it will never be the same as my Reatta.
