  1. I bought a junker 1955 pontiac that I was going to use for parts, but the car is in such solid condition I decided that it could be a good project car. However, I don't have a title and in Pennsylvania it seems that it is impossible to get one. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

  2. I am looking to see if anyone can recommend someone is PA or NJ to rebuild my 1941 Oldsmobile straight 8 motor? I am restoring the car to stock, and can do most of the bodywork but have no experience working with motors. Thanks for your help.

  3. You can try The Parts House the phone number is 817-451-2708. I got a NOS front fender for my olds.

By the way, I am looking for the taillight bezels, interior rear windshield trim, trunk license plate light and battery tray for a 1941 olds "78" sedanette if you may know of any sources.

  4. I am restoring a 1941 "78" sedanette (I was originally planning on streetrodding it but history got the best of me so I plan on keeping it stock. I was looking for some leads for salvage yards or suppliers that might help me find some of the parts that were not with the car when I bought it. Some things I need are a air cleaner assembly (for the straight 8), taillight bezels, and rear 1/4 panel molding. I sure that there are a lot of other things I will also need along the way so any help that you could offer would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rich

  5. I recently came across a 1941 4 door desoto in drivable condition. I really don't know anything about these cars (I've only worked with oldsmobiles and pontiacs up until now). Before I buy it, I was curious to see how difficult it is to get parts (sheet metal, mechanical) for these cars. Thanks for your help.

    Rich...Welcome to the AACA Forum.

Reminder: The Antique Automobile Club of America's mission statement is "preservation of motorized vehicles as they left the factory".

Based upon your query, I moved it to the Tech Section. If your interest is "rodding", then, you are on the wrong forum, and, it will be addressed later.

From my knowledge, it would be a "reconstruction vehicle" based upon the little information, or, intent, of which you posted.

    Regards, Peter J.

  7. I am working converting a 1941 "78" sedanette into a streetrod. Does anyone have any horror stories or tips that may help me. I am looking at dropping in a bigger motor (I'd like to stay with a olds rocket motor) to replace the straight 8. I also may change the front suspension. Any help you could give me would be appreciated
