  1. Had the same problem in my 90 over a year ago. My mechanic worked on the underside because it seemed most likely that water was coming in from the bottom when it rained - the carpet was wet - no standing water. It stayed dry until this spring when I found wet carpet again. Left the windows open on a sunny day with the lid up and it dried nicely.

Barney's suggestion makes sense, especially with standing water. A water leak - on a roof or in a car - is a funny thing. It can run and show up where you don't expect it. Hope this helps. I'll be watching to see how your problem is solved.

  2. Has to be one of the best questions asked on this forum!

Have to agree that Ohio has its fair share. I drive my red '90 every day. I see a black one in Zanesville pretty often. I know where it lives. See several in the Cincinnati/Dayton area when we go home to visit. See one offered in the Columbus newspaper every so often.

The reatta is a car you just can't help but spot!

  3. Go for it if you can. I have 3. Dad's white/burgundy 88 coupe was my first. have driven it a little, but it needs some work. 160000+ miles. It is in the garage. Next one was a red/tan 90 coupe to use as a daily drive. 103,000 miles and still going.

I realized after starting to drive the 90 that I missed the screen so I started looking for a low milage 88 or 89. Barney's message a few months ago about cheap Reatta's got me really thinking about it. Found a red/tan 88 and was lucky enough to get it. It's now in the garage with dad's white 88 waiting for next spring. Originally was going to sell the 90, but the 88 was so nice, I'll put the miles on the 90.

The bad news is my wife would like to have a light blue one now. The good news is my wife would like to have a light blue one now!
