Thanks for all the info. After I measured the 66 I figured that out. I did find all 4 NOS fenders, so am in much better shape now.

Sorry I didn't get back before this, but my Internet access has been down. Thank you very much finding a fender, but I won't be needing it after all. A NOS fender that I have been working on for a couple of months finally came through. It is hard to beat the NOS stuff if it comes up.

I need the left rear fender to fit a model 76 or 78. I also need the deluxe trim for the same fendor, about 4 inches wide, ribbed, and wraps from the rear of the fendor opening to the tail light.

I am building a 1941 Olds model 76 fastback, and have a 1941 Model 66 4 door parts car. Does anyone know if any of the sheet metal, front clip, and rear fenders from the 66 will fit my 76? The two cars are about 100 miles apart, so I don't really want to drive up and try to take the 66 apart and bring it all back if it will not fit. Curious about the dash trim also, but I am pretty sure that will not fit. I know the 66 is basically a Chevrolet, and the 76 is a Buick/Pontiac/Olds/small Caddilac.

Hi guys,

No I am not a young man, 50 in a couple of months. I apprecate the restored cars, but that is not what I do. The Olds I have could only have been a parts car at best, so I figure I am creating something from nothing. The Studebaker I had, was even in worse shape after being a drag racer for years. I have a couple of friends that do the resto stuff and I sure understand how much work it is. Glad we all like cars in any case.

Hi all,

I just found this board and thought I would introduce myself. I am a car guy from long ago. My last car was a hot rodded 1940 Studebaker Champion coupe (hence the nickname). It had a 383 stroker Chevy with a tri power, Mustang front end, 8" ford rear, power everything and lots of fun. Current finished car is a 1965 Impala SS 396 (soon to be a 454) 4 speed car. This replaced the high school car. I have a 1941 Olds 76 fastback under construction. It now has a 78 mid size Chevy front end, and 9" Ford rear with disk brakes. The 454 for the Impala is sitting in the rails, but I am going to put in a 455 to keep it all olds. I have things set up with air suspension, but I am going back to the springs, tired of building everyone else's ideas. I will have all the bells and whistles like the last one. I also have a 1941 Olds 66 4 door sedan for parts, and just picked up the remains of a 1941 Buick for the doors. This will be my 3rd set of doors, don't you just love rust!!! Just installed new rocker panels on the driver side and am just about ready to roll it over to do the passenger side. My father-in-law and his brother bought this car in 1946 and blew it up in 1953, so it is a bit of a labor of love.
