You guys are champs. The knowledge you guys possess amazes me. I even gave you the wrong leads and you whooped this. Thanks. You're right. It was a 47 v12.

I agree with the MoneyPit. It's a "tucker" for a vintage sewing machine. Maybe

On the 'bottom side' picture, I see a hole on the left for mounting it to something with a bolt, and 2 guide pins on the right which should sit down in 2 holes in or on something else. So it was mounted to something else. And I am totally guessing that that object is an adjustable "stop" of some sort. Perhaps it fell from the underside of the drawer above it? I'm trying to envision it somewhere on the side of an engine... maybe it mounted to a fuel pump?
I don't have the time to look it up because the weeds are growing faster than I can type here, but i think some type of adjustable stopping mechanism.

I realize it's years later STILL, but I'm in Mansfield ohio. This one is for sale. This was modified by an engineer who built over 20 cars, then stripped, poorly painted with engine block paint by me. and I also replaced the leather and nylon straps on the clamps, and put new chains on it.
