I have some old pieces if you're still looking.

46woodie, thanks for the response. I do have the 38-39 book but it doesn't have much info on woodies. I get hardware from Mcmaster-Carr too. I was hoping that someone might have kits or something specific for woodies as my car was not totally together when i got it so I'm not sure I have all the hardware. I know that's probably wishful thinking. Yes, I am a member of the NWC.

Looking for a nice original sun visor mount and visor frame.

Looking for reference material to help with the resto of my '39 Ford wagon, particularly color info for the brackets and miscelaneous interior metal parts, ie steering column. Also looking for a source for hardware for securing the wood to the various metal pieces.
Thanks.

Thank you! It took me forever to find it in the picture but I finally saw it. Those are missing from my car but I see the 3 screw holes that hold them in. Got any extras laying around :).
Thanks again.

I'm trying to put a '39 Ford Woody back together and do not know how the piece of wood under the tailgate attaches to the car. I see that there are "tabs" that slide into the slots of the bottom of the D pillars but there are screw holes that I have no idea what they attach to. Does anyone have pics of the underside of the rear of a 38-39?
Thanks. -

I am refinishing the wood on my '39 Ford and came across what I think is wood filler in between joints on the body. Looks like it might have been used as a seem sealer or something. The picture shows the joint at the driver side wheel arch and the D pillar. Is this wood filler or something else?
Also, can anyone give me a source for the welting that goes between the wood and metal wheel well?
Thanks,

Thanks. I have a ‘35 Ford sedan and that has a filler neck that screws in but my ‘39 wagon does not. It’s fixed in place.

I am trying to remove the gas tank on my '39 Ford woody and am starting to think the car was built around the tank and it can't be removed. I've disconnected everything, removed the fuel filler, removed the pads that go between the tank and frame, disconnected the wire to the top of the tank. I've moved it every which way I can but can't get close to getting it out. Any advice?

Can you send a pic of exactly what you're looking for? I have a '39 and would be happy to help if I can.

I recently purchased a '39 Ford Woody Wagon that is missing a lot of parts. I could use help finding the following:
- Driver door wood
- Latches for both rear doors
- Hinge for passenger side rear door
- Glass for both rear doors
- All (4) pieces of glass retaining trim for the passenger side rear door
- Top and bottom window channel for the double glass on rear door
- Glass retaining trim for the front of the driver side rear quarter glass; This is the piece with the cut out section at the top that goes around the body to roof mount
- Glass retaining trim for the bottom of the driver side rear door
- Trim wood for tailgate
- Tailgate latch
- Good used Speedometer bezel
- Both rear seats
- Good used headlight trim rings and lenses
- Good used hood stainless
I'd appreciate any help tracking these parts down. I'd really prefer original parts vs reproductions. I'm trying to preserve this vehicle vs restore it.
Thanks,

Can anyone tell me if the door latches for the rear doors are the same as the front doors for a '39 Ford Woody Wagon?
Also, I'm in need of a pair of latches for the rear doors if anyone has them for sale.
Thanks,

46woodie, thanks again. I know Jeff. He's working on some replacement wood for me. I will ask him about the paint color. Thanks again for responding. Appreciate it.
