  1. “New” to me. But yes, it is used. Came off of another 235 engine. Which is why I’m confused as to why the bolt pattern is still wrong. Same blade and bolt pattern from the one that broke. Both had to be drilled. So I’m assuming it’s not the correct year/size engine that I was told? Or something else is aftermarket.

  2. I have a 1954 Chevy 3100. Forgive my low mechanical skills but here is the issue. The previous owner stated the engine is a 235 from a 1956 truck. It threw a fan blade so I needed to replace it. Once ordered I realized upon installing that there was a different bolt pattern drilled on the fan. So being impatient I decided to just drill the same pattern into the new fan since it took me forever to get a new one. Once I mounted, I now I know why the old one threw a blade, the blades hit the bottom pulley of the engine.

So could someone guide me to what correct fan to buy or does the “bell” that I’m mounting the fan to need a spacer or something? Either way, I know a new fan shouldn’t require drilling so something is wrong.

    Thank you
