Please excuse my ignorance as I am not a car person at all, but I happened to find this item and I assume it is automotive related. I purchased the contents of a storage locker and it had a lot of car related things in it. This was in there, so I assumed it was some sort of car part. Any ideas? I didn't see any markings on it other than the raised "guide" lettering.

Looks kinda like a 55 Chevy hood. The shutoff cock just happens to be named Ford but it's not automotive.
Thank you so much! You're the best!

I'm not a car person at all. I found these items in a house that I was cleaning out. I didn't see any kind of markings on the hood, and the other item says "Ford 2". I don't have any way of knowing what these are, so I was hoping someone here might have an idea. I thank you in advance for any responses!
What is this thing? Is it automotive?

Thank you so much! Super helpful. I wouldn't have figured that out. Though that makes sense as I did find some sort of military humvee gauge in the lot of stuff. But that was much easier to identify since it had a part number on it.
Looks like I found a completed listing for one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tail-Light-Brake-Stop-Len-Guide-w-Refector-and-Bracket-Military-/372605777464?hash=item56c108f638%3Ag%3ABDYAAOSwNClcYx38&vxp=mtr&nma=true&si=FsERnLAhNEt8ll%2FufLl6UFeXpq0%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Thanks again!
