Oh ok. Maybe that’s the missing item for me. I need to see about getting one of them stretch links. I will look at the pedal and show you what I got.

This is gonna sound stupid but does the stretch link actually stretch?

Hello tank,
i wish I had the oem rod so that I can properly measure out the distance as shown on page 72. Even just having the overall size might help me figure this out. I’ll try to adjust the rod so that it’s 1/16” short of the hole as stated on step 8 since I can’t do step 7.
-
What’s even more confusing is that the pedal travel ( down to the floor ) moves the throttle body approximately half of its full distance (its does not go far enough as to open the secondary plates). To make matters worse, the stator adjustment screw(fully extended) barely seems to engage the stator rod. Maybe I should retract that adjustment screw back off all the way.

I have plenty of threads on the rod to shorten it but the pedal linkage seems to already be bottomed out. I already have have it, from what it seems, maxxed out I the direction of the throttle valve.
Am I making any sense? -
Hello Everyone
I have the a problem with my throttle lever not reaching WOT to actually open the secondaries. I don’t think it has ever worked since I purchased the car. Does anyone have a spare full operating rod they can sell me? I made the existing operating rod.
In what direction do you adjust the throttle operating lever after loosening the splined clamp.
my car came with a CARTER AFB COMP SERIES carb. Can anyone measure the length of their existing operating rod just to compare lengths?Thank you all in advance.

Hello
I'm Juan. I have a 55 Buick Century. I am having problems adjusting the rear window. I already lined up the vent window and the passenger window. I just can’t seem to find where I can move this glass front to back just a zinch. If you recall on you project, any help will be appreciated.
thank you.

Thank you Fr Buick,
I really appreciate your help. I will look into getting the kit. I checked all the vacuum lines with a vacuum gage. The water lines are clear as well. When I push the wiper switch, I hear the vacuum at the pump But nothing happens. I remember it worked for a short time when I first got the car. So the access to the lines is through the top of the front dashboard?

Hello everyone
please accept my apologies if I post this in the wrong section. I’m a newbie at this posting stuff. I need help in figuring out the schematic of the windshield washer pump for my 55 century. Has anyone taken it apart for rebuild?
my pump only has two connections at the lid. It’s vacuum and water. Doesn’t appear to be complicated.
Throttle lever/ stator linkage adjustment on 55 Buick century

Well, I finally figured out why my throttle was not opening all the way. I did cut the carpet as suggested but that wasn’t it. It turns out that the accelerator bracket that’s right behind the firewall and the engine block was interfering with the brake vacuum line that goes to the power booster. What royal pita that was. I had to remove it and rebend it to make clearance for the swing travel of the accelerator linkage.
