OK, I MIGHT< or MAYBE
I had a 1948 REO speedwagon truck with a hand crank, , not sure if they would be the same size or not, I am not where I have it and won't be there for about 2-3 weeks,, but if you know what size it is, when I get there I can look and see?
pretty sure if my memory serves me right its a square socket like deal on the end of the hand crank? maybe 3/4-1 inch? I could be wrong ben a while since I looked at it LOl
but it was off a REO
-
OK so then its missing the bottom section then?
Curti, I am guessing the 4.00 price was from YRS back
what do you think is a modern FAIR price for it??

OK anyone want it at 5 grand?

i sure wished it was on the est coast, are eat of hershey or west of Hershey, how far is the drive from Montana.
depends on what part of Montana your in
from here to say Cookie City, its about 38 hrs, if you drive NON stop(like I do) and don't get a lot of construction or accident traffic tie ups
been able to make it to Bozeman in about 37 hours
as for where from Hershey PA, I am north east of it by about 50 miles or so
I have been across the USA many times so, have a pretty good time line on driving to a LOT of places
then also have some pretty fast speed runs across have the use to
made it once from me to Omaha NE in 12 hrs,, and 14 minutes, 1183 miles
and stopped to eat once! too LOL
that was my younger dumber days however!
SO I guess the above driving times are based more on driving the speed limit or SLIGHTLY above it at times!
SO< how 's that for answers??
-
what state is Deleno
HAHA< well if you read the tread, it says Deleno PA(NE PA)
so its NOT a state, its in north east PA, and Deleno is a town here
zip code 18220
kinda figured that info was slef explained??
But No biggie
its in Pa

OK looking to sell a 1948 REO SPeed Wagon truck
truck was bought new, and owned by a friends father
it was garage kept sicne day one
the Father died in 1967 and truck was parked in the same garage and left there
MY friend passed away, and the truck became his wifes
so the truck was more or less a one owner truck
She is looking to sell the truck, as the family estate was settled and the garage the truck lived in was lost
SO, I now have the truck at a friends farm now, and its outside
as I don't have a building(YET) it will fit in
SO I am trying to sell the truck for my friends wife
it has 28,485 miles on it
its VERY clean as in NO rust, no real dents, all body parts are there, all glass is in 100% condition, NO cracks, NO missing tail lights or badges or the likes
truck NEVER seen Snow or road salt , and NEVER even drove on a HI way
it has one extra rear wheel, and two brand new front tires NOT on the truck, there extra's
ALL I have done to truck so far is winch it out of garage onto a trailer, and towed it to my friend sand took it off the trailer there
I have NOT tried the motor to see if it is free, or try to start it or the like's
I just moved it from one place top another
BACK in 2013 I had a guy look truck over and told me motor was FREE, as it was in a family settlement for a while now, and that sale never took place due to not being settled
BUT MY friend NOW has a clean title in hand and is wanting to sell it
the asking price on the truck is $6,000.00
its located at zip code 18220, Deleno PA (Ne Pa)
would LOVE to see this thing sell before winter, as I feel bad seeing it outside now after SO many yrs of being stored in a dry garage!
here are a few pic'\s
first is what it looked like coming out of garage, and then how it sits now at my friends off the trailer after it got rained on

looking to sell a 1948 REO speed wagon 2.5 ton truck, its a flat bed, was bought new in 1948 and kept in a garage all its life, was used from 1948 till about 1967 to haul hay off a dairy farm and once in a while a cow or two.
it never seen a hi way or went more than about 30 miles from the farm it lived on its whole life.
I recently got it , as IT needed to be removed from the garage it lived in . it again was parked in about 1967 and NOT been moved till last week when I removed it from the garage
it has 28,485 original miles on it, it is in excellent condition, has a clean title, almost NO rust on the body, NO dents, no missing parts, all glass and plastic is in excellent condition, NOT cracked or missing
tires WERE flat, but all took and held air, also have two new front tires(not on wheels) and a extra rear wheel
I have it right now on a trailer, until I can get it into a garage again, or sell it
I am asking $7500.00 OBO
its located at zip code 18220, in Deleno PA
here are two pictures of it on the trailer as it came out of the garage, it was covered in dust and I just loaded it and took these pic's
I have done ZERO clean up to it, IT did get rained on 2 days ago, so should look cleaner now, but haven't taken any new pic's since, plan to later today
and thanks for looking,
