  1. Today I discovered why my Delco Moraine power brake booster is having troubles, the main problem is a broken diaphragm, there is a small crack on the rubber... unluckly I haven't found a new one in the rebuilding kit I bought... does someone know where I can buy a new one or a good used one that I can use?

On the schematic the part is letter U.

Thanks in advance for any help, I will appreciate it a lot, that problem is keeping my almost done restoration project stuck...

  2. Hello!

I was looking online to buy 1955 century side script reproductions but I didn't find them, only roadmaster, special and other year's scripts...

I have to fix and replate mines and spend a lot of money or someone know a place where to get them?

  3. As you have found out this is one of the hardest jobs on a 55.  And the fact that some of the available seals are thicker and firmer than the original does not help.  Carefully compare the seal to the original...you may have to  get a custom extrusion done like I did.

Hi Willie, thank you for the answer, what about your mounting advice? did you mounted the seal directly to the frame of the car or to the glass?

  4. Hello!

I'm mounting my back glass on a '55 buick century 2dr hardtop but I can't place it correctly, I've already tried the cord trick by placing the seal directly on the glass twice but I didn't succeed... the hard edges on the glass and the moulding clips on the top doesn't help the job...  :(  (I've tried with soapy water)

What is the correct way to do the job?

  5. Hi folks!

I'm preparing the parts to mount on my doors on my 1955 Century 2dr ht, does someone know where I can buy the door rubber glass channels located at the bottom of the frame?

Are them interchangeable with other GM brands?

Thank you and greetings from Switzerland  :)

  6. Thank you very much for the detailed answer, the diagram is perfect. Grazie mille!

Yes, my Buick is a 66R, but seems to be a hard part to find, for the moment I only found one seller that has this part and it's quite expensive as I need 4 of them.

Grazie mille e buona giornata. Thank you a lot and have a nice day.

  7. Hi, I have a '55 buick century hardtop under construction and I have 2 question to ask.

First one, I'm assembling the heater hoses but I don't find the connection scheme on the manual, can someone help me? I have to connect the transmission, the underseat heater and the 3 water pump nipples, maybe a draw can be very helpful post-153488-0-34696400-1432678057_thumb. on red are the hoses that I've already installed, other connection are missing.

Second answer, I need to replace the part on the photo post-153488-0-94052900-1432678540_thumb. but I don't know the name in english (my mother language is italian  :D ), it's located behind the front seat bench, there are some replica on sale?

    Thank you very much

  8. Ciao a tutti, my name is Timothy Stark, I live in the southern part of Switzerland (near Italy) my mother language is italian but I also speak french and a little bit of german, I'm 23 years old and since I got my driving license I'm driving US cars, first a 2000 chevy camaro that my father had, then with some hard working I bought my first car, a 1988 pontiac trans am, and on sepember 2013 I bought my first oldtimer, a 1955 buick century 2dr ht to start a restoration project.
