  1. You can go to the Chrysler Museum site and buy a build card that will give you the original destination and much more information.

Thank you ==== I have a build card but the dealership name is illegible === I just know it was sent to Rawlins WY. and the build date is 12-1-1937.

  2. Look in a City Directory for Rawlins , Wyoming for 1937. A handy and often overlooked reference source. Should be one at the Rawlins Public Library. Should list the Businesses in town. Difficult but doable.

As for the first owner, well, your mission, if you chose to accept it, will be extremely difficult if not impossible.

Are you planning on returning this car to original condition?

Thank you , I will give it a shot. No, it's a sweet street rod now, body and interion look somewhat original but lower stance.

360 eng. 727 trans. , dodge dakota rear end. the only thing not mopar is the chev front end

  3. I have a 1938 Chrysler Royal coupe built in Detroit on 12-1-1937 and shipped to Rawlins, WY. The dealer name was illegible on the build record.

Anyone have a idea of the dealership it was shipped to or how I could find out

AND more important, I would like to find 1st owner and start to track my cars history.

any thoughts? It's now a sweet, all mopar street rod, attracts alot of attention. I am not saying it's rare but it is somewhat

unusual. I have only run across one person who has seen one before. I get alot questions.

  4. great help. thank you. do you know if there might be a registry for current owners? I have to believe there aren't many of these cars still on the road.

did you ever find the registry of current owners? I have a 38 royal coupe and would be interested - also would like to trace back to original owner.

    any ideas.

  5. 38 Chrysler Royal coupe with original fender mounted tear drop lights with Riteway head lamp covers.

I need to adjust up, they are bright but not aligned correctly.

They were updated to modern bulbs including running lights.

When I take the lense off all I see is springs.

How do you adjust or where might I go to find out. I do not see any name or markings on the inside but have not dismantled just looked in after lense

removal. a little concern, don't want to screw it up

    Thanks
