For whatever reason, the original listing is back on Facebook through the original link. Checked it a couple times the other day and the listing was most definitely gone. Facebook…shrug. Anyway, car still listed and price lowered to $5,000. Still hoping it finds a good home.

Did a windshield look-see from the road today. Looked like a nice car with a lot of potential. Kind of listing to port with a couple flats on the driver’s side. Shop was closed, so couldn’t go in to look closer. Noted that the front bumper was pushed back a little and can now see that’s noticeable in the photos. License plates were Minnesota issue from 1965 with what appeared to be 1967 tags.
Here’s to hoping it found a good home.

As of evening of 4 SEP, the Facebook link now brings up a screen that states the vehicle is no longer listed. Hopefully somebody who appreciates the car bought it.

As a matter of learning, I had read that the 1938 Roadmasters and Limiteds are the last to have structural wood in their bodies. If so, how much and where?

Thought this 1938 Buick Limited may be of interest and worth sharing.
RecognizIng this is a CCCA Full Classic and a limited production, long-wheelbase car, I figured that while it needs work, the Buick devotees may be interested. A couple comments posted online from people expressing interest at the post show they don’t recognize or respect this car for what it is. Would like to see it get a chance for new life with someone willing and interested to take it on as a project other than a rat rod.
The vehicle is located in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit. Address is 49685 Gratiot Avenue. The business at which it is located is called “My Mechanic.” Seller listing is Matt D and business phone is 586-four-six-nine- twenty-eight eighty-six.
It was originally listed at $6,000, but was dropped to $5,500 on 29 AUG.

Longtime forum lurker here. Currently in between old cars but always looking for the next “one.” Appreciate the work many of you put in with collecting and sharing the various listings. Have seen some tempting vehicles to get back into the hobby.

Very interesting car. I like the Art Deco. Sitting out in the BC elements won’t do it or its lot companions much good, though. Found this picture on the dealer Facebook page. Not even considering its lack of shelter, too many miles away and one too many international borders to seriously consider.
For those who may be familiar with Mopars and Desotos, how often do 1938 S5s like this seem to come up? I’ve only seen a couple in the past few years. I recall this slantback example from a couple years ago and it sold at auction for ~$27K.
