Guest Orono
My 88 Reatta came with an after-market cd changer and antenna. I am attempting to install a used OEM antenna. The plug on the cd changer is a different size than the oem antenna and I have tried a couple of adapters from Circuit City & Best Buy. The adapters fit into the female plug of the antenna but the spring pushes it right back out. Anyone have any sugguestions?
Thanks for your help. TheBlackMoon
Here's a bright idea (and no, I'm not joking).
If you're sure that the adapter you bought "should" fit the OEM and Aftermarket connectors, but they keep popping out, Use electrical tabe to tape them together after plugging them in. That'll hold them firmly without looking cheap in the process.
Guest
Whoever installed the cd player/changer may have replaced some cables, as the correct connectors to plug intot he factory system can be hard to come by & frequently have to be custom made ... I know that was the case when I installed my changer ...
~Brenda
------------------
http://members.aol.com/gohighr/reatta.html
