mydodgedog Posted June 13, 2018 Share Posted June 13, 2018 the transmission I have is from a 1954 or 1955 Dodge truck. The build plate calls the truck a Model C3-TA8-I44, with a Max Gross Weight of 24,000 lbs. The Service Manual refers to this model as having a 5-speeds (forward) transmission. That is the gear box I have with a power take-off on the side and also the huge truck bell-housing. It is a floor shift with the shift lever mounted on top of the trans.
