Doc Hubler Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 This is a project truck. $5,000 1955 Dodge pickup with short/lowside bed. Rather unusal. The truck currently has a 318 V8 engine with 4 speed trans. It comes with that and a 1954 Chrysler 331 cid Hemi engine with original carb and auto trans. The 318 in the truck hasn't been run in years. Should run with normal maintenance. The brakes will need to be gone through -- not functional. Regarding the body and rust situation. Truck does not have much rust. There is a little on the passenger door bottom, floors have surface rust but are otherwise solid. Originally the truck was painted green and you can see that on the inside roof and under the split hood. Tailgate is straight as is bed. THe only major damage is the rear driver fender wich is crumpled on the back, but those are quite readily availabe as Dodge used them for years on their pickups (into the 70s).
