scalptrader
Here is your rare opportunity to acquire what is undoubtedly a needle in a haystack! This is a completely original and unmolested Teens-1920's GMC Trucks Front Grill shell with it's original and complete brass radiator, an amazing winged moto meter that is original to this piece and original GMC TRUCKS cloisonné badge. The Ornate moto meter has a purple tinted beveled piece of glass on the front and indicator on the rear while the wings are undamaged! This is a very nice original piece that is very nice driver quality and would be an excellent candidate for restoration as there is no damage. I can't imagine another one of these is available as these trucks were used and abused and left for dead. This has a very unique and significant #3 set against a leather backing hung on the center of the radiator, I suspect it signified a fleet vehicle? I am astonished that someone would have incurred the expense of this fabulous moto meter on a truck, clearly they took great pride and obvious care to their equipment given it's overall condition. I included a picture of the original long manufacturing ID tag. This has been hanging up in a dry garage indoors for years and is complete. The grill does not have any damage and has excellent patina; I have only enjoyed displaying this, I've never attempted to clean it as I didn't want to disturb the patina! I would love to see this reunited with an original GMC and back on the road. I tried to capture the originality and the condition in the pictures, happy to email additional pictures if needed. Please ask any questions. Happy to hang onto this until pick-up or delivery accommodations can be made. I should be able to ship this fairly reasonably thru Fastenal though it's quite heavy. I am happy to provide a quote if that is a viable option.Asking $2,500 Edited November 11, 2014 by scalptrader (see edit history)
