Have an autolite distributor...ICC470. 14X. M

As best as I can read, these are the numbers.

Can anyone let me know the year of mfg and if was used on a WWII jeep?

Thanks for your help.

OK you might have WWII jeep autolite distributor. The distributor used in WWII jeeps was an autolite IGC4705. There is something wrong with your date code. The date code is of the form Month code-year code. The Month code is 1 thru 12 for Jan. thru Dec. The year code is OK. "X" is 1943.

I saw your reply. I was repairing my daily diver yesterday and did not get on line. You did responded properly. Reading the data plates on old distributors, generators and starters can be hard. I found that a magnifier glass helps.
