Guest JeffreyB
Hello Everyone:The AACA Museum has a true barn find 1948 Mercury Woodie Wagon for sale on eBay. We pulled this vehicle out of a barn in eastern PA about 8 years ago along with several other donated vehicles. As part of the agreement with the donor we are to sell this Mercury to help finance the restoration of a 1941 Ford Woodie that was also donated. The ongoing story of the 1941's restoration is being told in our column in Antique Automobile. Many firms have stepped up to help with this restoration. The wood body, chrome, drivetrain and sheetmetal are all being done as a donation. Other parts and services are still needed. The money from the sale of this car will help cover materials and transport costs associated with the project. The 1948 Mercury is complete but needs a total restoration. If you are interested in this vehicle it is in storage and the Museum and may be viewed by appointment. Please email or call Jeff at the Museum for details or to arrange a visit. Here is the link to the eBay auction.Mercury | eBayThanks to everyone who has supported the Museum in this project and our other endeavors.
