Guest De Soto Frank
Jack,Depending on the routing, you might be able to use steel brake-line tubing.I did this on my '41 De Soto about 15 years / 20,000 miles ago, when one of the old rubber flex-lines let go out on the highway !( I thought my bearings were noisy as it was... then I heard them at 50 MPH w/o any oil-pressure !!!!:eek::eek: )I used 1/4" brake-line tubing, carefully bending it to avoid kinks. If you're concerned about vibration, get enough tubing so that you can put an 360-degree loop in each tube.It was a little tough bending-up the tubes for my De Soto, but the results are worth it , in my opinion.Perhaps there's another hydraulic shop near you that could do flex-lines ?
