Recognized as one of the 3 P’s in high end automobiling, alongside Packard and Peerless in the 1920’s. Pierce-Arrow is known for it’s very distinctive trumpet headlights molded into the front fenders.<o:p> </o:p>This handsome example displays a Red body with Black beltline and trunk, beautifully finished Ash Wood wheels, and soft Cobra Grained soft roof and sun visor. The tubular front bumper is spring loaded, the original 5mph bumper. The engraved outside door handles simply state elegance.<o:p> </o:p>This 5 passenger coach has a modest wheelbase of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:metricconverter ProductID="130”">130”</st1:metricconverter> , powered by a 289ci. 30 HP, 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual transmission and 4 wheel brakes. Engine and driveline operate flawlessly. <o:p> </o:p>This car has been totally restored by a professional restoration shop in 1997. The Gray cloth interior is still in new condition, along with the impeccable gauging, window trimming and shades, the twin wooden cigarette trays and lighters and engraved door handles. The rear floor is carpeted with a covered footrest. The front floor is a paneled dark linoleum with aluminum edging and surrounds.<o:p> </o:p> The running boards are pyramidal aluminum covered with badged step plates.
