Guest ZenMaster
Hi,Once again I need your help. I am in the process of restoring a 1966 Cutlass 442 that is an original 4 speed car with a factory 3.90 (TG axle code stamped on housing) axle ratio, NON positraction. Can anyone tell me if I have a 8.2 inch or 8.5 inch ring gear? Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you.Larry
Guest
Larry, sorry for the late response so you might have a answer already. The GM 10 bolt ( at least two versions as BOP axels are thicker in diameter than chevy and even bigger than a 12 bolts ) is a 8.2 " and the 12 bolt is a 8.875".Don
