Guest
My wife bought me a car part at a local estate sale that I need advice on. It's made from 2 mirror sections side-by-side. One tinted (for night use?) the other plain. Both are rectagular, about 3 X 4 in. and have beveled edges. Both articulate separatly on ball sockets. Is this an after market? From a particular make? What era? Seems old, much like the one in my 170S.
Guest
These were, I believe, standard equipment on Pierce Arrow and possibly some other makes of the late '20s and maybe early '30s. They were no doubt also available as an aftermarket item.
The glass size on the Pierce mirrors was
2 1/2" x 4". At one time I manufactured replacement glass for these mirrors. The clear was easy, but the light absorbing one was a bit more complicated.
hvs
