  1. Just sold for $39,500 and you should have heard the announcers making fun of it. The ruination of a beautiful Raymond Lowey design. I couldn't agree more.
  2. Looks to me like a 1956 Plymouth, compare yours with the attachment
  3. I see, just because someone "volunteers" his time to write an article, we can excuse shoddy work. Then explain to me the '65 Packard fiasco. If Stuart doesn't have the time to do the job right, then he should hand it over to someone who can, it's that simple.
  4. I've really enjoyed your comments in "Setting Stuart Blond Straight"! It has been really interesting to see how Blond either "embellished" the facts or simply didn't take very good notes. Either way, certainly not the sign of a competent journalist. By the way, don't expect to ever hear from Blond. People at the National Publications simply can't take any form of criticism and will certainly NEVER ADMIT when they are wrong. (For example the debacle of the '65 Packard) Thanks for presenting your side to this story.
  5. Not worth $48,000! It's not considered a senior car plus, I don't care how much you invest in restoration, doesn't mean the car is worth that. You could get a very nice Caribbean for $50,000.
  6. Two Sellers: 1. Calendarchris - item# 7942082954 2. brikia - item# 6139157961
  7. Here is a picture of a 1940 120 rear view. Looks like it might be a license plate holder?
  8. I had a '64 Caddy that had a foot activated system that locked out the ignition so the car couldn't be started.
  9. I like everything except the windshield and top. They look too modern.
  10. I agree plus if you look at the back up part of the chaika taillight, it looks a lot like the packard clipper/executive. Ah them Ruskies! Have any of you ever seen one of these in person. I've read that they were very cheaply constructed.
  11. The rear taillight has a real similarity with the Pontiac Tail light. This post the Chaika.
  12. When I was a little shaver, my father owned a maroon red Buick whose hood opened like that and I truly believed that it would fly. My dad reinforced that thought but told me it was just too dangerous to take someone my age up in it. Ah, life was so much simpler back then <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
  13. If you mean www.packardclub.org (Packard Automobile Classics), I just tried it and it came up fine.
  14. Do you know, off hand, when it is on?
