Bought this car about 1 yr ago and have not changed fluid. However I took the car in to a shop I used after I bought it and they said fluid appeared good. I plan to take the car back in to the shop again to look at this latest problem.

Yes. This is recent. Fluid level is normal. It seems to start happening after I drive it about 9 - 1- miles.

I have a 57 T-Bird with 312 engine and AT. After I drive my car about 10 miles the transmission loses second gear when I come to a stop (these T-Birds start out in 2nd gear). I can shift it to Low and then it will go into 2nd gear when I shift it into Drive. Fluid level is OK. Any ideas about what is causing it to lose 2nd Gear at a stop?
