Guest edreatta_uk
Hi from Wales, i recently obtained an 88 Reatta, it had a number of electrical problems. Probably due to the number of times it had been 'jump' started when the battery was low. The seller told me that this is one of two in the UK. The car drove 160 miles with no problems, but as the IPC and the CRT were not lit it was blind?.
Query 1 i have located where the turn signal alert module should be -
it is not!
Query 2 the power module for the blower is faulty.
Question are these unique to the Reatta--
Riviera or are they used on other
GM cars? harry yarnell
The Reatta shares a LOT of electronics with the Riviera, and the usage may span a few years. I know the instrument panel for a '90 Reatta is the same for the '90-93 Riv.'88 Crt is the same as '86-89 Riv.
pdljmpr
Welcome to the club! You are awfully brave to buy your Reatta and live in the U.K. We have such a hard time coming by parts and knowlegeable and trustworthy mechanics here in the states, I could not even imagine having one over there!. I'm sure you get alot of curious looks, though.Hope you and the owner of the other one can hook up for tea and trade stories. Good Luck and enjoy....
